On 24 September 2025, in celebration of Heritage Day, Wisani Burial Society joined residents of Ward 27 in Mogapeng Village, under the Greater Tzaneen Municipality in Limpopo, to honour South Africa’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. Ward 27 Heritage Day celebration

The event began with a 12km marathon from Maake Plaza to Mogapeng Village, setting an energetic tone for a full day of community activities. Ward 27 Heritage Day celebration

Following the marathon, the celebration continued with a variety of activities that showcased the community’s cultural diversity. These included:

• • Soccer games for both men and women

• • Weightlifting

• • Sack races
